Robert "Ford" first arrived in Llanview, Pennsylvania, on August 11, 2008.  Initially, he seemed like nothing more than a mere prop to usher David Vickers back into town.  Ford was the producer of David's trainwreck attempts at a reality show for several families in Llanview.  Almost immediately after he arrived in town, he was walloped by a frantic Jessica Buchanan when she used a flower pot to knock him over the head after she thought he was stalking her and pretending to be her dead husband.  In actuality, Ford was only scouting out a location for David's show, and after Jessica apologized to him, he resumed his producer persona and drifted back into the shadows.

It wasn't until Langston Wilde laid eyes on Ford did the proverbial spotlight finally shine on him, and Langston certainly enjoyed the show!  She practically slobbered over herself when she came upon Ford dumping a cool bucket of water over his bare chest.  Her hormones nearly burst out of her lusty teenage body, and she remained hypnotized as water trickled down Ford's body and snaked along every outline and contour in his tight, muscular six-pack.  Afterward, the two of them had a tense conversation about a possible reality show involving two love interests, but the conversation lasted only until Langston's boyfriend, Markko, interrupted them and squelched the moment.  Soon after, Ford left the canvas for few months, but he's back again, and fans can't get enough of him!

Ford returned to Llanview on December 29, 2009.  It didn't take him long to get Langston into his bed.  Despite her declarations of love for Markko, she couldn't get enough of Ford or the heat and danger that he brought to the table.  As Ford and Langston's sexual relationship progressed, fans realized that Ford enjoyed the game of bedding Langston behind Markko's back and, on the surface, didn't seem to care that much for Langston at all.  In fact, he enjoyed plenty of time in the sack with several other young women in Llanview.  Although, when Langston found out, Ford somehow managed to paint himself the victim, and Langston actually felt sorry for him!  When the chase was finally over, Ford blew Langston off as if she were nothing but a mere piece of dust on his sleeve, leaving many fans disgusted with this mysterious character.  Lately, however, we've been given a glimpse into Ford's past, with the arrival of his younger brother, and the mother who left them behind with an abusive father when they were children.  Since their arrival, we've seen a different side of Ford emerge, namely his fierce, protective nature toward his brother, James.  Also, in terms of his mother's childhood departure, he most likely has feelings of abandonment that might explain his untasteful treatment of all things female--better to hurt them first before they hurt him, right?

Wherever the story takes us, and whatever backstory they decide to place on Ford, FINALLY we'll get some insight into what this guy's all about!  And the fact that they've brought Ford's family to the show means another great thing--David Gregory will be sticking around Llanview for awhile.  And who can complain about that?
